Discover the authentic rural life of Puglia with a guided visit to the Masseria, a traditional working farm surrounded by peaceful countryside and oak woods where animals roam freely.
During the visit, you will learn about the origins and history of the masseria, the meaning of this traditional rural structure, and the farm’s production philosophy. You will see the milking room and animal stables, including cows, calves, and pigs, all raised in a natural environment and surrounded by woodland pasture.
The tour continues in the cheese production area, where you will discover how fresh dairy products are made. The cheesemaker will explain the craftsmanship behind traditional specialties such as Mozzarella, Stracciatella, Scamorza, Caciocavallo, and Burrata, and illustrate the traditional techniques used in the production of stretched-curd cheeses.
The experience concludes with a generous tasting of the farm’s products in the shop area, where you will be introduced to a wide selection of local specialties including dairy products, cheeses, cured meats, olive oil, bakery products, seasonal fruits, and vegetables.
