Nestled among the vineyards of Carvinea, one of Puglia’s most renowned wineries, Masseria Pezze d’Arena is a beautifully restored 16th-century fortified agriturismo where centuries of history, winemaking traditions and authentic hospitality come together. Still family-owned and deeply connected to its agricultural roots, the Masseria welcomes guests seeking to experience the quieter rhythms of rural Puglia in a place where tradition, comfort and genuine hospitality exist in perfect harmony.

The estate offers six spacious suites, thoughtfully restored to preserve the character of the original farmhouse while providing every modern comfort. Each suite features a queen bedroom, an ensuite bathroom, a fireplace and a separate living area with a convertible sofa bed, offering both privacy and flexibility for couples, families and small groups. Two suites are located within the original 16th-century tower, including a self-contained apartment with its own entrance, kitchen and living room. At the heart of the fortified Masseria lies a generous internal courtyard, a welcoming space where guests can relax and enjoy time together. Protected within the ancient stone walls, the swimming pool (16 × 8 m) offers a peaceful retreat, while beyond the estate the vineyards of Carvinea stretch across the surrounding countryside. Adjacent to the pool, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and shaded dining area provide the perfect setting for leisurely breakfasts, long lunches and al fresco dinners. A changing room, full bathroom and outdoor shower complete the pool area.

Hidden within the gardens is one of the estate’s most fascinating historical features: an ancient hypogeum dating back to the Paleolithic era, a remarkable reminder of the rich history that has shaped this landscape over thousands of years. The professional kitchen makes the Masseria particularly well suited for destination weddings, private celebrations and intimate events, while the generous indoor living spaces provide elegant and comfortable areas to relax throughout every season. Whether staying for a few days or celebrating life’s most meaningful occasions, guests are invited to experience a place where hospitality is rooted in family traditions, local culture and a genuine connection to the land. Daily cleaning service is included throughout your stay. Breakfast preparation can be arranged upon request, allowing guests to enjoy a relaxed start to the day. This optional service is available at an additional cost and can be organised prior to arrival. As the home of Carvinea Winery, the Masseria offers guests the opportunity to discover its wines through private tastings, vineyard lunches and carefully curated wine experiences. A selection of bespoke services- including private chefs, wellness treatments, boat excursions and tailor-made experiences throughout Puglia- can also be arranged to create an unforgettable stay.
